Colin is an Associate Director at ESP Solicitors with over 30 years of employment law experience.
He previously established and led a nationally recognised employment team for a major regional firm and was an ACAS trainer for many years. Colin has appeared in numerous cases before employment tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal, where he also served on a lawyers’ panel providing pro bono representation to unassisted appellants.
While Colin’s expertise spans all areas of employment law, he has a particular interest in the development of discrimination law and the role of equality and diversity in strengthening organisations. Prominent corporate clients he has worked with include EDS, Baxter Healthcare, RealNetworks, Stagecoach, and Oxford Brookes University.
In 2006, Colin became a qualified accredited mediator and trained coach. He has since been involved in significant projects for companies such as Shell, BP, TK Maxx, and Coca-Cola Enterprises. Colin is passionate about delivering targeted, creatively designed training and the opportunities it offers to share knowledge and experience.

- Providing mediation services for complex and highly contentious employment law disputes.
- Offering employment law support for a significant acquisition project involving an independent school.
Prominent corporate clients have included EDS, Baxter Healthcare, RealNetworks, Stagecoach, and Oxford Brookes University. In 2006, Colin co-created a work relationship consultancy, and qualified as an accredited mediator and trained coach. He co-developed a module designed to assist line managers in dealing with and conducting discussions and meetings in challenging circumstances, drawing on his many years of practice related to workplace conflict. He was also involved in significant assignments for Shell, BP, TK Maxx and Coca-Cola Enterprises, amongst others.
